MaxiAids Web-A-Thon to Benefit Perkins School for the Blind

MaxiAids, in our continuing efforts to help those in the visually impaired community, will be holding a 24-Hour Web-A-Thon to benefit the Perkins School for the Blind, the oldest and one of the most prominent schools for the blind in the United States. MaxiAids has committed to donate to the Perkins School a portion of the proceeds of web purchases made all day long (from 12:00am to 11:59pm) on Thursday, December 3.

This is a great opportunity for MaxiAids and its many loyal customers to team up and contribute to a truly worthy cause. Since its founding over 175 years ago as the first school for the blind in the United States, the Perkins School has been educating the blind and deafblind. Among its long list of former students are Laura Bridgman, the first known deafblind person to be educated, and Helen Keller.

With the Web-A-Thon, MaxiAids and our customers have a chance to give back to this organization that has given so much to so many people. Together, we can make a difference! So, start browsing now, and remember that with every web purchase you make on Thursday, December 3, you are supporting Perkins School for the Blind.
